The Ohio Department of Transportation completed a $14 million dollar project in St. Clair Township. This project widened a portion of State Route 170 from three lanes to five lanes to improve the traffic flow through the business district of the township.
Planck has plans to construct the Ohio River Clean Fuels Project (coal to liquid plant) in Wellsville (a neighbor to St. Clair Township), we are putting mechanisms in place to accommodate the growth that will be apparent from the construction of this plant. Planck reported it would take four to five years to build the facility along the Ohio River. Once constructed this plant will employee more than 400 direct employees.
In addition to improvements for commercial economic development, the township has realized the development of many new residential subdivisions to accommodate the growth and demand for new housing in the area.
Coming soon is a new “Dunkin’ Donuts”. This facility will be built on State Route 170 between Farmers National Bank and The Calcutta Square Plaza.
